Music problem

Good evening everyone,
Am new here, and new to the field of editing
and I have a question if u don't mind.
I saw MOST of your amvs on youtube and they are all EPIC
but my question is that, how you make the amv with the song?
I mean, I made a video with a song in it, but after one day youtube said it
was blocked cause of copy right.
So how you guys use songs without getting that kind of problems?
You have to buy the song first or something?
