Converting .mkv files help!!

Hey guys, when i want to download episodes most of them are .mkv
so i wanted to know how to convert them without any problems or loosing quality
i tried anyvideoconverter and it didn't work also WinX Video converter also mkv merge and that stuff

I use avs video converter it may take long but it does get the job done

I use HandBrake. Pretty good. Not alot of Quality loss at all.

i use MKVcleaver and My Mp4box to convert

the program i use for converting is: AnyVideoConverter
in my oppinion the best converter, dont take much time and the quality is really good

Just so i know what format do you guys convert it to

to mp4 Video (1280x720) video codec x264 and bitrate (for good quality) 8000
[for fast convert with normal quality 768]
